Project Description:

The WorkAbility program implements an array of services that promotes student transition to employment, lifelong learning, and quality adult life.

Description of Services:

Students served are provided curriculum integration of work readiness skills, career/vocational assessments, interest inventories, career speakers, and subsidized work experience placements. 

Project Goals:

The project provides direct service to 262 high school students, 125 middle school students, and the placement of 63 high school students. The aim of the WorkAbility program is to prepare students for a successful transition into adulthood as well as the labor market. 

Eligibility/Targeted participants:

Middle and high school special education students. 


Then California Department of Education Special Education Division funds the WorkAbility program. 

Length of Funding:

The program is currently funded through June 2022.
