2022-2023 DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI AWARD

In 1998, Antonio Escoto Romayor Jr. was enrolled in the Central Union High School District Computer Repair Regional Occupation Program (ROP) taught by Mr. Bob Harrold and was selected as the Computer Repair ROP Student of the Year. Mr. Romayor is the Chief Operations Officer (COO) at the Imperial County Office of Education (ICOE) and is responsible for Technology, Facilities, Maintenance and Operations. Antonio is a California IT in Education (CITE) Certified Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and earned a Master of Education in 2020. Mr. Romayor has over 25 years of Information and Communication Technologies sector experience.

Antonio volunteers his time to present and participate in Imperial Valley ROP and CTE events, is the Chair of the Imperial Valley Wellness Foundation (IVWF), and participates in various regional groups that support Valley educators, technologists, and administrators. Mr. Romayor is a vocal proponent of college or career and a strong supporter of Career Technical Education (CTE). Mr. Romayor is a proud father of two strong and intelligent boys, loves to create and learn, and is dedicated to helping others through informed and purposeful leadership.
