WIOA Adult Vocational Training Program
Project Description:
The Workforce Innovaction & Opportunity Act (WIOA) Adult Vocational Training Program provides vocational training opportunities for adults. WIOA eligible or private pay participants receive classroom and hands-on instruction for industry specific skills along with supportive services that may be available to enhance the training. Course available include: Certified Nurse Assistant (C.N.A.), Security Guard, and Class "A" Commercial Truck Driving. The program is funded by the Imperial County Workforce Development Board as Individual Training Accounts (ITAs).
Description of Services:
The WIOA Adult Vocational Training Program hands-on vocational training in C.N.A., Class "A" Commercial Truck Driving, and Security Guard. Students obtain industry-recognized certifications and are assisted with job placement after successfully completing the program.
Project Goals:
The WIOA Adult Vocational Training Program will train and place individuals referred by the Workforce Development Office, Department of Rehabilitation, and the Employment Development Department as C.N.A.s, Truck Drivers, or Security Guards. The amount of students served is dependent on available funds and capacity of the class.
Eligibility/Targeted participants:
WIOA Adult Vocational Training Program serves Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act eligible adult participants. To apply, participants must visit their local America's Job Center (One Stops).

The WIOA Adult Vocational Training Program is funded by Imperial County Workforce Development Office with Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act funding.
Length of Funding:
The WIOA Adult Vocational Training Program has been funded locally for over 15 years. Funding amounts change from year to year.
