STAR

Project STAR helps individuals build life skills and achieve recovery through workshops, case management, and support.

Project STAR

Project STAR is designed to support individuals facing behavioral and mental health challenges in their journey towards recovery and stability.

The program helps participants develop responsible behaviors and healthy relationships, equipping them with the necessary tools to become productive members of both society and their communities. Running from July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2026, and funded by Imperial County Behavioral Health Services, Project STAR offers various workshops and activities to enhance participants’ educational, vocational, and social skills. Services include case management and support, and are available at the El Centro and Brawley Wellness Centers. Participants can earn completion incentives and certificates by attending workshops that cover areas like basic English reading, writing, and math skills, life skills, independent living, social skills, and employability. The goal of Project STAR is to promote wellness and assist participants in managing their mental health positively while helping them create a personalized plan to achieve their social, academic, and career objectives.
