Students in Calexico helping paint over graffiti.

Students in the project learn that they can make a difference. ACE students get to participate in community projects during the program during workshops, field trips or activities. Students learn of the various community projects that are available in the County or perhaps start a project of their own. Examples of ACE community projects are Christmas toy drives for foster children, helping at the local Convalescent Homes, community "clean-up" or giving food to the homeless.

FAMILY PICNICS

Students enrolled in the program who display leadership potential can participate in the ACE Youth Leadership Council. These students help plan and coordinate field trips, activities and family picnics. The "family picnics" are weekend BBQ activities for ACE students and their families. We usually have a mix of food, games, sports, contests, prizes, music, etc.
