AT THE INTERVIEW |
|
The interview is very important to both you and the employer. There is important information you should confirm before your interview. You should confirm the date, time, address and the name of the person doing the interview. At an interview, you both want to learn one thing:
Are you the right person for
the job?
Try to relax. Think about your strengths. Remember, you got the interview because the company is interested in you.You already know you should dress well and look good. The first impression your supervisor will have is from your appearance. How you act in an interview is also very important. Below are some Do’s and Don’ts to remember.

|
Here are some difficult questions asked by employers on
an interview. - Are you more comfortable working by yourself or with others? - How does the company fit into your overall career objectives? - In what type of position are you interested? - Tell me a little about yourself. - What are your short-range/long-range career goals? - What are your strengths? Weaknesses? - What do you know about the company? - Why do you want this job or want to work for this company? - Why should we hire you? |
|
Interviews are also a good opportunity for you to ask anything about the jobs. After all, you want to make sure you have all the information before you agree to work there for the rest of the program. You do need to be careful and not ask the wrong question or sound too aggressive. The following are questions you can ask after the interview:
When can I start working?
What is the dress code at this worksite?
What will my weekly work schedule look like? Will I be working weekends?
Is there a possibility of getting hired after I complete the program hours?
When will I know if I got the job?
