ACE RECEIVES CCS PARTNERSHIP AWARD

Imperial Valley Regional Occupation Program
Type: Workforce Development; Transitioning Foster Youth; College Success.

The Imperial Valley Regional Occupation Program received a 2005 CCS Partnership Award for its Project ACE Accessing Careers through Education. The ACE Project is a collaboration of the Imperial Valley Regional Occupational Program, the Imperial County Department of Social Services and the Imperial Valley College. ACE addresses the many obstacles faced by foster youth transitioning from adolescence to adulthood by creating a comprehensive set of services the program that develop academic, personal and life skills that will lead to successful self-sufficient adulthood.
