Relevance
Project
The Relevance Project utilizes the Rigor/Relevance Framework (provided by International Center for Leadership in Education) to make lesson plans that are both standards and real-world oriented; specifically, the lesson plans that are developed incorporate real-world applications of the California Content Standards to strengthen their use and effectiveness for our students.
Lessons included here are first attempts by Imperial Valley Teachers (Academic and CTE) to do this in a formal manner. The Relevance Project website, currently under development, will allow for Imperial Valley businesses to provide many examples of the application of standards in real-world applications that can continue to be used by teachers to develop high level, standards driven, relevant lesson plans. Please take a look at the lessons produced so far to get a feel for what we are trying to do.
