Please use the following checklist to review the competencies:

____Class Name

____Competencies are aligned with priorities listed in the course outline (competency statement does not have to be the same wording, but can be summarized).

____Verify that competency statements are written or stated in a format to reflect what the student has learned, demonstrated or accomplished in the class.

____List of verbs available to assist with creating competency statement. Competencies - Illustrative Verbs.pdf

____Competency statement can be assessed by the following ratings: "Proficient", "Limited Proficiency", or "Proficiency Not Addressed" - if competency rating is "Proficiency Not Addressed", then the statement will NOT appear on the certificate.

____For those with articulation agreements, check that a statement appears indicating that the student has met the criteria and is recommended for credit by exam at the designated community college and/or other agreed upon terms and conditions as stipulated in the articulation agreement.
